Job summary

GBIT (Global Bridge InfoTech Inc) is seeking a mid level Java Backend Developer to build scalable backend systems in a hybrid/on-site setting in Texas. The role emphasizes hands-on Java fundamentals, Spring, databases, messaging, and CI/CD in enterprise-grade apps.

You will design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data components while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Local candidates preferred for on-site interviews in Irving/Richardson.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Core Java (8/11/17) including collections, streams, generics, and design patterns.
• Deep Spring ecosystem knowledge: Spring Boot, MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and REST API development.
• Experience designing microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
• Solid SQL experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Hands-on with messaging technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or JMS.
• CI/CD and DevOps tooling: Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins or GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, SonarQube.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and microservices with Java and Spring Boot.
• Build new features, optimize performance, and integrate REST APIs, messaging, and databases.
• Implement asynchronous processing with Java concurrency utilities.
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews and production support.

Location: Hybrid/Onsite with onsite interviews. Need locals only.

Inperson interviews mandatory. First round in Irving (prime vendor) and second at Richardson (client)

Note: We are looking for a strong hands‑on backend engineer with deep expertise in Java fundamentals, Spring, databases, messaging, and CI/CD—not someone whose experience is primarily focused on architecture or system design.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in Core Java (Java 8/11/17), including Collections, Streams, Generics, Exception Handling, JVM, Memory Management, and Design Patterns.
• Solid experience with Java Concurrency & Multithreading, including Threads, Runnable, Callable, Executor Framework, CompletableFuture, Synchronization, Locks, Concurrent Collections, Thread Pools, Atomic Classes, and Parallel Streams.
• Strong hands‑on experience with the Spring Ecosystem: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, Dependency Injection, Spring Actuator, and REST API development.
• Experience designing and developing Microservices, RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and event‑driven architectures.
• Strong SQL and database experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server, including query optimization, indexing, and transaction management.
• Hands‑on experience with messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or JMS.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools, including Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins or GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, and SonarQube.
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, integration testing, and API testing.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is preferred.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and production support experience in Agile environments.
