Job summary

Perkins Eastman is a global architectural design practice seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer to work on workplace and commercial interiors. You will join a multidisciplinary team, developing concepts through construction administration and supporting site visits across the U.S.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite, with a portfolio of innovative projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design, architecture, or related field.
• 5 to 8 years of interior design experience, focused on workplace or commercial interiors.
• Strong design and conceptual thinking with a portfolio of innovative projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction methods.
• LEED accreditation or progress toward NCIDQ is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop interior design concepts for workplace and commercial projects.
• Participate in all project phases from concept to construction admin.
• Produce drawings, presentations, and renderings to illustrate concepts.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Assist in selecting materials, finishes, furnishings, and equipment.
• Research industry trends and best practices in interiors.
• Support project documentation including specs and schedules.
• Participate in client meetings and provide design recommendations.
• Travel across the U.S. to support installations and site visits.
