Job summary

The ACI Group in Baltimore is seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer for a 100% remote role serving a government client. You will build and support cloud-based applications, APIs, data pipelines, and analytics workflows across front-end, back-end, and data layers.

The engineer will contribute across the SDLC with emphasis on Snowflake, ETL development, Apache Airflow orchestration, and AWS-based services. U.S. citizenship or Green Card required; background investigations apply.

Qualifications

  • Minimum eight years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's, or six years with a Master's; 4 years can substitute for a Bachelor's.
  • Experience building full stack apps with modern frameworks, relational databases, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with SQL and Python for development, data processing, and integration tasks.
  • Hands-on experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration workflows.
  • Experience with Snowflake data modeling and query optimization.
  • Experience using Apache Airflow for orchestration, scheduling, and monitoring.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based apps and data solutions in AWS, including deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication; Agile collaboration across analytics, application, and platform teams.
  • Experience with Big Data platforms and large datasets is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI and DevSecOps practices is preferred.
  • Experience with government agencies (CMS or similar) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and maintain full stack applications and data solutions across front end, back end, and database layers.
  • Contribute across the software development lifecycle—requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs to enable integration between apps, data platforms, and enterprise systems.
  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines for batch and near-real-time processing; implement transformations.
  • Develop Snowflake data models, transformations, and workflows for scalable processing.
  • Use Apache Airflow to orchestrate, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot pipelines.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, DevSecOps, and application teams to deploy in AWS and implement IaC and CI/CD for Snowflake objects.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues in development and production; document root cause and resolutions.
  • Work in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions that meet business needs.

Description

We are seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer to help build, enhance, and support cloud-based applications and data solutions across the front end, back end, and database layers. Working closely with engineers, product stakeholders, and cross-functional partners, this person will turn business requirements into reliable, well-tested solutions; build and integrate RESTful APIs; and develop data pipelines and application workflows that support analytics and operational use cases.

The engineer will contribute across the software development lifecycle, including technical design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support, with a strong emphasis on Snowflake, ETL development, Apache Airflow orchestration, and AWS-based services. This role includes building and maintaining data integrations, supporting cloud deployments, improving data workflows, and helping ensure applications and pipelines are reliable, maintainable, and aligned with business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Build, test, maintain, and enhance full stack applications and data solutions across the front end, back end, and database layers.
  • Contribute across the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs to support integration between applications, data platforms, and enterprise systems.
  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines to support batch and near-real-time data processing, and implement data transformation workflows that are performant and maintainable.
  • Develop and support data models, transformations, and workflows in Snowflake to enable scalable and efficient data processing.
  • Use Apache Airflow to orchestrate, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot data pipelines and automated workflows.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to deploy, support, and improve solutions in AWS.
  • Implement application and data pipeline features that integrate with relational databases and AWS services such as S3 and related cloud resources.
  • Partners with Cloud Engineering, DevSecOps, and application teams to implement infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake objects and deployments
  • Monitor and troubleshoot application, pipeline, and integration issues in development and production environments, and document root cause and resolution steps.
  • Work with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver application and data solutions that support business and user needs.
Qualifications
  • Requires a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or a Master's degree with at least six (6) years of experience. Four (4) years of specialized experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience building full stack applications using modern development frameworks, relational databases, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with SQL and Python for application development, data processing, and integration tasks.
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration workflows.
  • Experience with Snowflake for data modeling, transformation, and query optimization.
  • Experience using Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration, scheduling, and monitoring.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based applications and data solutions in AWS, including deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with analytics, application, and platform teams in an Agile environment.
  • Hands-on experience or extensive training in Big Data platforms and large and complex data sets is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including secure development, access controls, and auditability is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAS is a plus.
  • Prior experience with Center for Medicare Medicaid Services or other government agencies is preferred.
