About the Role

The Exigo Mid-Level Facility Security Officer (FSO), working with the Exigo Director of Security, plays a critical role in ensuring the protection and integrity of classified information and sensitive assets within the organization. This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining the facility's security program in compliance with government regulations and contractual requirements. The FSO serves as the primary liaison between the company and government security agencies, managing security clearances, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing security training for personnel. By proactively identifying vulnerabilities and enforcing security policies, the FSO helps safeguard Exigo's operations and reputation. Ultimately, the FSO ensures that all security measures align with legal standards and support Exigo’s missions at all locations.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Active Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance at the Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance level or higher.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in facility security management or a related security role.
  • Certified/trained FSO or equivalent professional security certification
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NISPOM, DoD security regulations, and federal security requirements.
  • Strong understanding of personnel security clearance processes and procedures along with familiarity with personnel security programs of record (DISS, NISS, NBIS, JADE)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage security programs and interact with government agencies.
  • Proven ability to lead security training programs an develop security awareness materials
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and integration of physical and information security controls
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a Contractor Sap Security Officer (CSSO)
  • Experience working within a defense contractor or government agency environment.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and integration of physical and information security controls.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the facility security program in accordance with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other applicable regulations.
  • Manage personnel security clearances, including processing clearance requests, reinvestigations, and terminations.
  • Conduct regular security training and awareness programs for employees to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
  • Perform security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential threats to classified information and assets.
  • Maintain accurate security records, reports, and documentation to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and report security incidents or violations promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Oversee physical security measures, including access control, visitor management, and safeguarding of classified materials.
