Job summary

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty vehicle systems, performing preventive maintenance, and interacting with drivers. The shift is first shift, Monday through Friday, with weekends off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Two years or more of related experience preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred; must obtain CDL within 6 months.
• Must pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root cause and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the issue.
