Job summary

CGS is seeking a Data Engineer to support a rapidly growing Data Analytics and Business Intelligence platform focused on federal customers. You will work on building data pipelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring data is accessible to analysts and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years IT experience, proficiency in Python, SQL, and ETL, and a strong understanding of CI/CD and agile practices.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• 7+ years IT experience with large data sets and modeling.
• Experience building data pipelines from diverse sources.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and SAS.
• Strong knowledge of big data tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Git.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop data pipelines to store, manage, and provision data for consumption.
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum team and follow best practices.
• Write code to ensure performance and reliability of data extraction and processing.
• Support automated data ingest and deployment processes.
• Translate complex requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Work with cross-functional teams including UX researchers, designers, PMs, and engineers.
