Job summary

Pennoni Associates in Pennsylvania is seeking a Mid-Level Bridge Engineer (4-10 years) to join our Lehigh Valley or Wyoming Valley office. The role focuses on PennDOT bridge design and inspection, leading rehab/replacement projects, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

You will prepare proposals, perform designs, load ratings, calculations, and PS&E packages; oversee junior staff, interact with clients, and support construction services such as RFI responses and shop drawing reviews.

Qualifications

• E.I. / E.I.T required with ability to obtain P.E. license within 12 months.
• Knowledge of PennDOT bridge design, analysis, and rating software.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Driving is a requirement; clean driving record.
• Experience with PennDOT TS&L submissions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead bridge and culvert rehabilitation and/or replacement design projects with limited supervision.
• Coordinate with roadway, traffic, geotechnical, civil and environmental disciplines.
• Provide supervision to project engineers and junior staff.
• Attend meetings and interact with clients; prepare proposals for new work.
• Complete bridge designs, load ratings, calculations, construction plans, specs, estimates and schedules for PennDOT submissions (TS&L, PS&E).
• Support construction services including shop drawing reviews and RFI responses.
