Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking a Mid-Level Automotive Technician to gain hands-on experience in one of Goodyear's Auto Service centers, diagnosing issues and delivering outstanding service.

You will work with brakes, alignments, and learn in a fast-paced automotive environment while earning a competitive base pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• ASE Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform line technician services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, and problem-solving, brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, preventative maintenance, wheel alignments, and tire installation.
• Provide clear communication and guest service, mentoring to junior automotive technicians.
• Document all work performed on the repair order and report safety issues to management.
• Promote teamwork to ensure timely and accurate guest care during all operating hours.

Job description

The pay range for this position is $18 - $23/hr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such-as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. As a Mid-Level Automotive Technician, you will gain hands-on experience in one of Goodyear's Auto Service centers by utilizing a mechanical aptitude to diagnose technical issues while delivering outstanding service.

Depending on location, our stores may be open 7 days a week, which may include weekends and some holidays

• Previous electrical, air conditioning, and primary and advanced fuel ignition experience

About the Role: What skills will you learn?
