Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking a Mid-Level Automotive Technician in Destin, FL. You will gain hands-on experience in Goodyear Auto Service centers, diagnosing issues while delivering outstanding service.

You will learn to perform line technician services, routine maintenance, and system diagnostics while maintaining strong guest relations and safety standards. This role emphasizes training and fast-track career advancement for motivated team players.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes and preventative maintenance.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform line technician services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics and repairs such as brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes and tire installation.
• Provide excellent guest service with clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles; mentor junior technicians.
• Document all work performed on repair orders and report safety issues to management.
• Promote teamwork to ensure timely and accurate guest care during all operating hours.

Depending on location, our stores may be open 7 days a week, which may include weekends and some holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• ASE Certification
• Previous experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests
• Previous electrical, air conditioning, and primary and advanced fuel ignition experience

About the Role: What skills will you learn?

• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, including consumer tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting.
