Job summary

The National Security Sector at Leidos is seeking a cleared Cartographic Analyst to support our customer in Springfield, Virginia. This role utilizes GIS analysis to support a dynamic national security customer.

Responsibilities include chart conversion, production, and data migration across digital nautical charts and hydrographic datasets, with emphasis on accuracy and data integrity. Requires TS/SCI clearance and willingness to obtain a CI Polygraph.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 5 years of military or geospatial experience, OR high school diploma with 4+ years plus GPC I/II, OR a relevant BS degree with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience in geography, cartography, and GIS with ArcGIS.
• Experience creating shapefiles, geodatabases, and features.
• Knowledge of digital cartography, image processing, GIS, geospatial production techniques, NGA data formats.
• Ability to analyze imagery and non-imagery source information for NGA hydrographic products.

The National Security Sector at Leidos is seeking a cleared Cartographic Analyst to support our customer in Springfield, Virginia. This role utilizes GIS analysis to support a dynamic national security customer.

Shift: 1500 to 2300 Monday through Friday.

Position requires a current TS/SCI clearance and willingness to obtain a CI Polygraph.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide Electronic Nautical Chart conversion, production and review.
• Support existing and developing mission areas.
• Perform Digital Nautical Chart and Electronic Nautical Chart conversion production, extracting features from various sources including rasterized nautical charts, digital hydrographic survey data, and ortho‑rectified imagery.
• Update source data and source catalogs and information.
• Perform data conversion/migration.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma and 5 years of relevant military or full‑time geospatial professional experience, OR high school diploma and 4+ years + GPC Level I and II, OR a relevant BS degree and 2+ years of experience.
• Experience in geography, cartography, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including skill in ArcGIS applications.
• Experience creating shapefiles, geodatabases, and features.
• Knowledge of digital cartography, image processing, GIS, geospatial production techniques, and NGA digital data formats.
• Ability to analyze imagery and non‑imagery source information for application to NGA hydrographic products and databases.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous nautical maritime experience.

Pay Range

$59,150.00 - $106,925.00
