Qualifications

• Active RN license in Alabama or compact state.
• 0-2 years clinical nursing experience in acute care setting preferred.
• BCLS required; ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process and organizational policies.
• Administers prescribed medications, monitors for side effects, documents administration.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses and other health professionals to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR and code team activities as appropriate.
• Documents patient care thoroughly in the medical record and participates in audits and compliance checks.
• Engages in professional development and performance improvement initiatives.
• Critical Care RN responsibilities include managing life-support equipment and procedures such as central lines and advanced cardiac life support.
