Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the MICU at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. This per diem, day-shift role delivers evidence‑based critical care and collaborates with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a high‑acuity ICU.

You will administer medications with advanced bar‑scanning, document care electronically, and provide patient and family education.

Qualifications

• BSN in progress and/or within three years of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care nursing experience.
• Current New Jersey Nursing license; BLS/CPR and ACLS within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing practices according to evidence-based research and standards of care.
• Communicate ongoing patient status and treatment plans with patients and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications using advanced bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations electronically.
• Provide patient and family-centered education to optimize health and disease management.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary discharging of patients to ensure safe transitions.
