Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center MICU seeks a Staff Nurse to provide comprehensive care for high-acuity patients in the 30-bed units on 10 North/10 South. You will assess and coordinate nursing care, supervise team members, and support family involvement in the patient’s care plan.

A strong foundation in critical care nursing is expected. Minimum education is a 2-year nursing degree with preference for a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education Required: 2-Year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in nursing.
• Additional Education Desired: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in nursing.
• Required Qualifications: Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited nursing program.
• Current Ohio license or interim permit.
• Experience in relevant care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients.
• Direct and supervise nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team.
• Provide care aligned with professional practice model and patient/family involvement in the care plan.
