Experimental Aircraft Association Inc seeks a hands-on Microsoft Systems Engineer to design, implement, secure, and support both on‑premises and cloud-based Microsoft technologies including AD, Entra ID, Azure, and Microsoft 365.
The role leads administration, governance, and modernization efforts, driving security, compliance, and operational excellence across the enterprise with strong scripting and leadership across a small IT team.
SUMMARY
This hands-on role is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and supporting both on-premises and cloud-based Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Azure, and Microsoft 365 services. The Microsoft Systems Engineer will lead the administration and strategic adoption of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft A5 security, compliance, and collaboration technologies. This position serves as the organization's Microsoft subject matter expert, providing technical guidance, and best practices to the infrastructure team while helping drive modernization, security, governance, and operational excellence across the enterprise.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Typical office setting. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Preparation for AirVenture or other events may require lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, standing and walking for extended periods of time while bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and push and pull motions.
