What will you do: As a Microsoft Developer at FirstEnergy, you will join a leading edge, collaborative development team that works across the entire organization - enhancing existing applications, remediating production and technical issues, and building new business applications. Day-to-day work includes designing, developing, testing, and deploying full-stack solutions using Microsoft technologies, modern web frameworks, Agile delivery practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
Enhance, troubleshoot, modernize, and support existing business applications while delivering new features that improve usability, reliability, and workflow.
Build, test, deploy, and support full-stack web applications and reusable components across on-premises IIS and Microsoft Azure environments.
Participate in requirements reviews, design discussions, code reviews, testing, release planning, Agile delivery, CI/CD, and production support activities.
Explore practical uses of AI-assisted development and agentic models to improve delivery workflows, developer productivity, code quality, and solution support.
