Job summary

Albany International’s GIS team seeks an Analytics Developer to advance enterprise analytics using SAP data and the Microsoft stack (Fabric, Azure Synapse, Power BI) in a modern data platform.

The role focuses on building scalable data models, data pipelines, and analytics solutions, collaborating with architects and stakeholders, and ensuring governance and security where required. Portsmouth, NH-based, full-time on-site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytics and reporting within an enterprise Microsoft data environment.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and Microsoft BI technologies (SSAS, SSRS, or similar).
• Experience using SAP S/4HANA data as a source for analytics and reporting solutions.
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or Power BI in implementation or support roles.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data governance practices.

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance Microsoft BI solutions across SQL Server, SSAS, and SSRS, ensuring performance, reliability, and data accuracy.
• Contribute to migrating legacy analytics assets to Microsoft Fabric, including data models, pipelines, and reporting solutions.
• Develop and maintain scalable data models and semantic layers that transform SAP data into analytics-ready structures.
• Build and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions to enable business insights and self-service analytics.
• Assist in integrating Microsoft AI capabilities into analytics workflows to enhance insights and automation.
• Apply standards and best practices for data modeling, performance optimization, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with team members, architects, and stakeholders to deliver analytics solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Support data governance, security, and compliance across analytics platforms.
