Job summary

This position is an exciting opportunity to join Lam's Electron Microscopy team in Fremont, CA.

We operate several generations and models of scanning electron microscopes, including the latest models.Samples are representative of a diverse set of processes from across the integrated circuit (IC) manufacturing process and will provide a dynamic set of challenges and opportunities for growth over the long term.

Successful candidates will be well versed in sample imaging for some of the following techniques: Cross Section SEM (XSEM), Electron Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (EDS/EDX), and sample cleaving.

What you’ll do

• Responsible for supporting a variety of semiconductor applications using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) to image challenging structures.
• Experience in imaging samples on a wafer level taking profile, sidewalls, and top-down images on the SEM.
• Some experience with EDS analysis.
• Have knowledge on image optimization on the SEM for various materials.
• Have the ability to contribute to development of best-known methods (BKM) for SEM imaging of new applications.
• Be able to perform SEM alignments and correct basic fault conditions on metrology equipment.
• Must possess good written and verbal communication skills to work with large internal customer base.

Who we’re looking for

• AS/BS in related field of discipline or equivalent.

• Ability to work a night shift schedule.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $27.88 - $53.85.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
