Job summary

BioTechnique is seeking a motivated Microbiology Technician Level I to support Quality Control operations in a sterile manufacturing setting. Responsibilities include sampling, microbial analyses, DET, and accurate documentation in ACE and LIMS, with strict adherence to GMP and compendial standards.

This is a six-month temporary role with a Fri–Sun 12-hour shift schedule, offering potential conversion to full-time for strong performers.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years in a QC or manufacturing role within a regulated environment (pharma/biotech)
• Strong knowledge of quality systems and regulations (cGMP, ISO, FDA/EU)
• Proficient in document control and electronic quality management systems (eQMS)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Authorized to work in the U.S.; no required C2C arrangements

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling and microbial analyses in a GMP sterile environment
• Execute disinfectant efficacy testing (DET) and related assays
• Document results in validated systems (ACE, LIMS) with data integrity
• Prepare media, test solutions, and sampling kits per SOPs
• Operate biosafety cabinets and lab instruments following aseptic techniques
• Maintain equipment, conduct routine cleaning, and assist with calibration
• Support cross-functional QA, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Facilities
• Assist in inventory tracking and reagent management
• Contribute to periodic lab tasks and compliance activities
• Adhere to SOPs and compendial requirements
