Job summary

Spectraforce is seeking a Microbiologist to perform routine and non-routine microbiological testing and environmental monitoring in a regulated manufacturing setting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Microbiology or related field, with 3 years of experience; Master’s degree preferred. You will ensure cGMP compliance, support QA, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the QC lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or related discipline; minimum 3 years in regulated manufacturing.
• Master’s degree strongly preferred.
• Understanding of USP/EP/JP and FDA microbiology testing requirements.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Able to multitask and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Carry out microbiology testing and environmental monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, USP, FDA and other regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with QC peers and management.
• Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Participate in aseptic gowning and media fill reads.
• Perform endotoxin and sterility testing.
• Perform growth promotion testing of media.
• Document results with Good Documentation Practices.
• Maintain lab inventory and stock reagents.
• Support continuous improvement projects related to QC.
• Prepare and revise SOPs and validation plans.
• Assist investigations & CAPAs.
• Perform data trending and reporting.
• Shift flexibility; may include weekends/holidays.
