Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Quality Control Microbiology Tech for a prominent client in Frederick, MD. The role focuses on environmental monitoring and aseptic techniques in a GMP environment, with responsibility for maintaining clean lab areas and supporting manufacturing activities.

Requires an associate degree with 1+ years in microbiology or a fresh bachelor’s; experience with environmental monitoring and MS Excel is expected.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or bachelor’s in a related field with GMP/quality control exposure.
• Experience with environmental monitoring (air, water, surface) preferred.
• Familiarity with GMP, SOPs, and QC processes required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, organized labs and perform environmental and utility monitoring, including sampling of manufacturing areas.
• Receive, inspect, quarantine, and store microbiological media; monitor biohazardous waste and coordinate safe disposal with EHS.
• Support validation, qualification, development and manufacturing activities; document work and ensure GMP/safety compliance.
