Job summary

Kansas Health Science University seeks an academic leader to help develop and deliver a medical curriculum for KansasCOM pre-clinical sciences. The role focuses on microbiology foundations, with emphasis on innovative teaching and interprofessional collaboration.

The candidate should have a terminal degree in microbiology or related field and at least 5 years in medical education, with demonstrated teaching effectiveness and scholarly activity. This is a full-time on-site position in Kansas.

Qualifications

• Academic leadership with record of contributions in medical education.
• Terminal degree in microbiology or closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience delivering foundational microbiology, virology, mycosis and parasitic diseases to medical students.

Responsibilities

• Teach foundations of microbiology, virology, mycosis and parasitic diseases to first- and second-year medical students.
• Develop and deliver curricula using diverse modalities and assessments.
• Participate in accreditation activities and faculty evaluations.
• Collaborate on curriculum mapping and program assessment with ADACE and KHSC-KansasCOM leadership.
