Job summary

Eurofins Advantar Laboratories in San Diego is seeking a Laboratory Manager – Microbiology to lead microbiology operations for pharma and medical device clients. This role supervises lab supervisors and team leads, ensuring compliant, high-quality testing with timely delivery.

You will guide environmental monitoring and microbiology methods, uphold cGMP standards, and engage in audits and client discussions while developing talent and improving processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related life science.
• 5+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical or medical device lab.
• 2+ years of leadership experience supervising staff in a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP and USP microbiology methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead laboratory operations through supervisors and leads.
• Oversee microbiology and environmental monitoring testing.
• Ensure on-time delivery and regulatory compliance with TAT targets.
• Coordinate with Project Management to align capacity with client needs.
• Represent the lab in audits and client technical discussions.
