Job summary

Jersey College is seeking a Microbiology Instructor (Adjunct) to teach on Fridays at the Chattanooga – Cleveland Campus, 11:30am-4:30pm. The role focuses on nursing education and patient-centered learning for RN/PN students.

The instructor will prepare progress and grade reports, maintain attendance records, and evaluate student competency in line with program objectives. A Bachelor's degree in teaching discipline is required; a Master’s degree is preferred, with prior teaching experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in the teaching discipline with required credits.
  • Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
  • Position requires ability to teach microbiology to nursing students.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare student progress reports and grade reports.
  • Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
  • Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
  • Implement evaluation devices of student learning and clinical experience to measure progress.
  • Attend faculty meetings.
  • Maintain professional qualifications through continuing education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by program leadership.
