Job summary

Innovative Labs is seeking a Microbiologist I to join our in-house lab team. You will perform microbial testing on environmental samples, raw materials, and finished products, while maintaining equipment and documentation per SOPs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in microbiology or a related science, strong English communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under GMP standards. Training will be provided, and opportunities to grow within a collaborative, quality-focused

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology or a related science.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand basic English.
• Oral and written communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Follow GMP standards and guidelines.
• Understand and apply SOPs; handle confidential information.
• Ability to cross-train in 1+ areas within the Laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbial testing on environmental samples, raw materials, and finished products.
• Order supplies and coordinate general lab maintenance.
• Operate microbiological testing systems and record results.
• Create finished product certificates of analysis for product release.
• Write procedures and test methods as needed.
• Sign off on others work when trained to do so.
• Maintain and calibrate assigned equipment.
• Report deficiencies or malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Maintain records of quality activities per procedures and test methods.
• Handle samples and perform analyses according to established procedures.
• Identify, record, and correct nonconformities; identify improvements.
• Improve laboratory and quality activities on a continuous basis.
• Organize samples for microbial testing; document analyses.
• Lab cleaning and organization.
• Train other employees.
