Eurofins USA BioPharma Services is seeking an In Vitro Laboratory Manager in South Brunswick, NJ to join a team conducting genetic toxicology testing using Ames assays. You will assist in report writing, SOPs, and training while maintaining GLP-compliant records and supporting method development.

The position requires a B.S./M.S. in microbiology or related field with 3–5 years of experience in standard microbiology methods and a strong, detail-oriented work ethic.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree in microbiology, toxicology, animal science or biology or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience with standard microbiology methods and procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills; supervisory skills desirable.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to a small team of researchers working on genetic toxicology testing using bacterial test systems (Ames assay).
• Assist in writing, reviewing and editing reports, protocols and SOPs.
• Train other staff members.
• Set up and conduct experiments in accordance with Protocol and SOPs.
• Maintain precise records of all experiments in accordance with GLP.
• Assist in sample collection for microbial pathogenicity evaluation.
• Contribute to development and optimization of toxicology/pathogenicity assays for method validation.
• Culture and enumerate infectious bacterial pathogens using routine microbiological techniques.
• Prepare documentation for regulatory submissions and present results in project meetings.
• Follow PSL safety requirements and wear respirator as needed.

Job Description

• Contribute to a small team of researchers working on genetic toxicology testing using bacterial test systems (i.e., Ames assay).
• Assist in writing, reviewing and editing reports, protocols and SOP’s.
• Train other staff members.
• Set-up and conduct experiments in accordance with Protocol and SOP's.
• Efficiently carry out procedures necessary to complete each project with minimal supervision.
• Meticulously maintain precise records of all experiments in accordance with good laboratory practice.
• Assist in the collection of samples for microbial pathogenicity evaluation.
• Contribute to development and optimization of toxicology/pathogenicity assays for method validation of microorganism growth and assessment.
• Culture and enumerate infectious bacterial pathogens using routine microbiological techniques.
• Participate in preparation of documentation for regulatory submissions, present results in project team meetings and document findings in electronic laboratory notebooks.
• Follow all PSL safety requirements.
• Ability to safely wear a respirator required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree or equivalent experience; in microbiology, toxicology, animal science or biology is preferred.
• Three to five years of experience with standard microbiology methods and procedures is essential.
• Computer proficiency, strong analytical/problem solving skills and management and supervisory skills are desirable.
• The individual holding this position must be of highest integrity and have a very strong sense of responsibility, be detail orientated with good oral and written communication skills and be willing and able to work with little or no supervision. He/she must be mature, self-motivated, adaptable, and possess a positive attitude towards learning new skills, be well organized, capable of adapting to a broad spectrum of responsibilities and be able to maintain meticulous and accurate records. Humane treatment of all animals and adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) is of utmost importance. He/she must have a current tetanus vaccination.

Additional Information

Positions are full-time, working Monday-Friday 9am-5pm with rotating Saturday schedule, overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within commutable distance to South Brunswick Township, NJ.

Pay range: $23/hr-$27/hr depending on related experience.
