Job Description

Job Title: Micro Mold Production Worker

Reports To: Production Supervisor

FLSA: Non-exempt

Job Summary: Performs all tasks in operating micro mold production machines at Accumold, following quality systems and work instructions to produce plastic parts accurately and independently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develops a thorough understanding of micro mold machinery operation.
  • Monitors machines using established parameters, checks parts regularly, and inspects products to ensure quality.
  • Keeps feeder bowls filled, monitors dryers and ovens to maintain material supply.
  • Troubleshoots problems, builds machine/process knowledge.
  • Measures parts and follows SPC procedures per instructions and customer requirements.
  • Ensures efficient production by preparing finished products.
  • Communicates production issues to supervisors or leads.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; experience or training in plastic manufacturing; understanding measuring and inspection equipment; mechanical knowledge of micro mold production.
  • Computer Skills: Basic Windows skills.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and understand instructions, communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic math, reading and understanding drawings for inspection.
  • Reasoning Ability: Problem-solving skills, following verbal instructions.
  • Other Skills: Willingness to attend training to improve skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit/stand, manipulate small parts, use touch for texture detection, move within the facility, and lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Work Environment: Climate-controlled, moderate noise, safety glasses required.
