Gunster’s Real Property Land Use practice seeks an Associate Attorney with 4-6+ years of experience in land use, zoning, and development matters in Florida. The role involves guiding clients through entitlement processes, planning approvals, and related litigation or administrative proceedings.

The successful candidate will interact with government officials, manage multiple projects, and contribute to business development in a premier real estate practice.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Florida admission in good standing.
• 4–6+ years in land use, zoning or related practice.
• Experience managing entitlement and development matters.
• Strong research, writing, drafting and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy and presentation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and client-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Represent developers, landowners, and investors in land use and entitlement matters.
• Advise on comprehensive plan amendments, rezonings, variances, and site plans.
• Appear before local boards and commissions and related bodies.
• Draft development orders, agreements, covenants, and easements.
• Conduct due diligence on land acquisition and feasibility.
• Counsel on growth management laws, concurrency, and permitting.
