Job summary

Lydecker LLP in Miami seeks a Senior Associate Attorney with 5+ years of civil defense litigation experience, to join the defense litigation practice. The role requires Florida bar admission, strong client communication, and the ability to manage a busy caseload under supervision of a partner.

Qualifications

• Florida bar license in good standing
• JD from ABA approved law school
• 5+ years civil defense litigation experience
• Experience managing up to 30 cases, depositions, court appearances, motions, and discovery; mediation/trial a plus; mentoring juniors a plus.
• Microsoft Word and Excel basic skills
• Strong client communication and ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Draft/review petitions and motions, respond to complaints and discovery
• Attend hearings and meetings with clients
• Prepare for and attend depositions
• Assist with mediation and trial preparation
• Must be willing and able to bill
• Other duties as assigned
