Job summary

Easterseals NJ is seeking a full-time program professional in Hunterdon County, NJ to support consumers with mental health services and coordinate cross-site operations. The role emphasizes documentation, scheduling, and adherence to program standards.

Your work will include medication education, IRP-guided services, and collaboration with the Site Supervisor to ensure service quality across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mental health, health or human services or equivalent experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be computer literate and able to learn new programs.

Responsibilities

• Supports consumers in achieving measurable outcomes and addresses care challenges.
• Adheres to Adult Mental Health Rehabilitation Services standards (AMHRS).
• Responds promptly to consumer complaints and grievances to ensure satisfaction.
• Educates and monitors consumer medications, maintains logs, and completes monthly audits.
• Coordinates supportive services based on consumer needs.
• Maintains company vehicle per policies and procedures.
• Inspects the work environment at shift start/end to identify deficiencies needing remediation.
• Provides high quality services per IRP and required documentation timelines in the EHR.
• Facilitates monthly staff scheduling for multiple sites.
• Verifies timesheets for payroll processing.
• Participates in budget discussions and planning.
• Ensures audits of billing and reporting are completed weekly.
• Provides ongoing mentorship to staff and maintains org tools for compliance.
• Oversees house inventory within budget.

Since 1948, Easterseals New Jersey has worked to meet the continuously growing needs of people with disabilities and their families. Its services for individuals with mental health conditions provide daily living support and community-based programs that teach valuable life skills through instruction and real-world experiences.

What You’ll Do:

• Supports consumers in achieving measurable outcomes to address new and on-going consumer care challenges.
• Adheres to the Adult Mental Health Rehabilitation Services standards (AMHRS).
• Achieves high level of consumer and customer satisfaction by responding in a timely manner to consumer complaints and grievances.
• Educates and monitors consumer medications, observes medication logs, and complete monthly medication audits.
• Coordinates supportive services based on consumer needs.
• Maintains company vehicle in accordance with required policies and procedures.
• Inspects physical environment at the start and end of each shift to determine deficiencies that will need remediation.
• Provides high quality services in accordance with Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRP).
• Accurately documents services in accordance to required timeframes with policy and procedures using the electronic health record.
• Facilitates monthly scheduling of staff for multiple sites.
• Leads the verification of timesheets for payroll processing.
• Participates in budgetary discussions and planning.
• Ensures compliance standards are met for all auditing agencies.
• Ensures audits of billing for designated sites are carried out weekly and reporting is sent to the Site Supervisor.
• Provides ongoing mentorship to staff
• Creates and maintains organizational tools for the ongoing compliance of documentation.
• Oversee house inventory supplies within budgetary limits.

What You'll Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in MH, health or human services or a combination of one (1) or more years’ of college, plus related life or work experience equal to four (4) years or High School or GED plus four (4) years of related work or life experience.
• Must be computer literate and be able to learn new computer programs.
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Must be flexible and compassionate when working with consumers
• This role requires driving as an essential function. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be subject to post-offer verification of driving eligibility consistent with company insurance requirements.
