Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a disciplined Facility Operations leader to guide regional maintenance across facilities. You will manage Facility Advisors and maintenance technicians, ensuring in-house work, reducing vendor spend, and driving asset performance and cost efficiency.

Travel is required as part of overseeing multiple sites. Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5 years in facility or project management, strong leadership, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience plus five years facility/project management experience.
Knowledge of LTL trucking facilities preferred.
Thorough understanding of project management principles / techniques.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrative leadership and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to interpret AutoCAD and other drawing mediums preferred.
Strong interpersonal and motivational skills.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Experience in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Drive reductions in vendor spend by identifying opportunities for internal execution and tracking cost avoidance.

Provide performance reporting and insights to leadership.

POSITION OVERVIEW

To lead regional facility maintenance operations by managing Facility Advisors and Facility Maintenance Technician (FMTs), ensuring optimal execution of in-housework, reducing vendor spending, and driving measurable improvements in asset performance, cost efficiency, and service delivery across FedEx Freight facilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Select, educate, develop and lead a staff of employees
Monitor and manage direct reports workload across the region to ensure timely completion of work orders, prioritizing in-house execution over vendor outsourcing.
Drive measurable reductions in vendor spend by identifying opportunities for internal execution and tracking cost avoidance metrics.
Collaborate with direct reports and counterparts to develop cost effective scopes of work and ensure execution aligns with strategic goals.
Analyze regional repair cost, technician productivity, and vendor usage trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
Provide performance reporting and insights to leadership, including technician utilization, vendor spending, and service levels.
Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures

Pay:

Hourly: $100,559.00 - $160,894.00

Actual pay is determined by job-related factors permitted by law and relevant to the position, such as experience, tenure, market level, pay at the location for this job, performance, schedule, and work assignment.
