Job Summary:

The Manager, Brand Cost Finance reports to the Senior Manager, Brand Cost S&OP and serves as a key finance partner to Supply Planning, Regional Finance, Corporate Accounting, and other cross-functional teams. This role leads critical global processes across inventory forecasting, S&OP finance support, excess and obsolete inventory governance, Accounts Payable forecasting, and related reporting and analysis.

The Manager is responsible for driving forecast accuracy, overseeing centralized planning submissions and system loads, strengthening financial controls, and converting complex operational and financial data into clear insights for leadership. The successful candidate will combine strong technical finance capabilities with process ownership, cross-functional influence, and a continuous-improvement mindset.

This role operates in a fast-paced, flexible, and highly matrixed environment. Success requires the ability to manage recurring deadlines, resolve data and process issues, influence stakeholders across functions and regions, and lead through change.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the end-to-end centralized global inventory forecasting process, including submission governance, consolidation, validation, NBPlan load execution, regional financial-adjustment coordination, reconciliation, and executive reporting.
  • Partner with Supply Planning and Finance stakeholders to translate demand, supply, capacity, sourcing, and inventory assumptions into financial forecasts, scenario analyses, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Develop and apply structured forecast pressure testing across DIO, implied purchases, inventory trends, capitalized variances, gross E&O, reserve rates, in-transit inventory, and other key operational and financial drivers. Improvement in AP forecast accuracy (where applicable), supported by development of AP forecasting tools and loading into Hyperion.
  • Co-lead global E&O financial governance, including gross E&O and reserve forecasting, reporting standardization, dashboard development, data validation, process controls, and alignment with Brand Finance and Corporate Accounting.
  • Lead the development and standardization of scalable Accounts Payable forecasting methodologies, incorporating supplier terms, purchasing patterns, GR/IR, in-transit accruals, freight, business seasonality, and SAP and non-SAP data.
  • Deliver concise, executive-ready commentary and decision support that explains actual, forecast, and budget variances, including key operational drivers, financial implications, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop scalable analytical tools, dashboards, automation, and AI-enabled solutions that improve forecast accuracy, strengthen controls, reduce manual effort, and enhance financial visibility.
  • Lead global process-improvement and change-management initiatives, including standardized templates, calendars, roles and responsibilities, training materials, communication plans, and cross-functional ways of working.
  • Lead and develop finance team members through clear objective setting, coaching, feedback, technical development, workload prioritization, and ongoing capability building.
  • Support broader Brand Cost Finance initiatives, special projects, and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
Key Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 3-5 years of experience in finance/accounting, preferably in a Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) environment with working capital experience
  • Demonstrated record of continued career progression across broader, challenging roles
  • Significant experience with SAP and Hyperion is strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and Power BI Tools, including data transformation, reconciliation, and process automation
  • Leadership: Takes responsibility for delivering stated outcomes regardless of challenges encountered, self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Communication: Can build relationships and influence people across all levels in a matrix organization
  • Executive presence: Comfortable working with and influencing senior leaders.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to assess risks and opportunities within complex business situations.
  • Strong project and change-management capabilities, including process design, documentation, stakeholder alignment, training, implementation, and adoption.
