Job summary

Moody's is seeking a Mgr-Analytic Data Operations to drive standardized financial data processes and governance. The role partners with analysts, accounting specialists, and technology teams to apply AI tools, deliver training, and enhance data quality across Moody's ratings and research.

This is a US-based, full-time position with a base salary range and comprehensive benefits. You will lead initiatives to optimize data workflows, develop documentation, and support onboarding and upskilling

Qualifications

• 5–6 years in accounting, finance, financial statement analysis, or financial data operations
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
• Proactive with analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate across teams and support analysts
• Experience creating process docs and training materials
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; familiarity with BI/analytics tools

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality analytic data, guidance, and knowledge management support

• Resolve data, accounting, and process queries from analysts and outsourcing teams

Skills and Competencies

• 5-6 years of experience in accounting, finance, financial statement analysis, or financial data operations
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and financial analysis
• Proactive attitude with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate across teams and effectively support analysts and operational stakeholders
• Experience developing and maintaining process documentation, training materials, and knowledge management resources
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, Python, or data analytics tools preferred
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use

Education

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required
• Advanced credentials such as CFA, CPA, CA, or MBA in Finance are desirable

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality analytic data, guidance, and knowledge management support to enable efficient and consistent ratings and research processes.

• Determine and drive initiatives to standardize, optimize, and improve financial data processes
• Resolve financial data, accounting, and process-related queries from Financial Data Analysts and outsourcing teams
• Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, operating procedures, and governance resources
• Design and deliver training programs and support onboarding and upskilling initiatives
• Collaborate with Accounting Specialists, analysts, and technology teams to implement process updates and enhancements
• Monitor data quality, identify trends, and recommend improvements to strengthen operational effectiveness
• Represent the Knowledge Management function in cross-functional projects and enterprise-wide initiatives
• Apply artificial intelligence tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency, while demonstrating growing awareness of responsible and ethical AI use

About the Team

Our Analytic Data Operations team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of data used in Moody's ratings and research. We contribute to Moody's by enhancing data quality and consistency across global teams, supporting analytical workflows through standardized processes, training, and governance, and driving innovation in knowledge management, process improvement, automation, and AI adoption.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is$113,200.00-$164,050.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
