Job summary

Huhtamaki is hiring a Manufacturing Process Assistant B at our Waterville, Maine plant. You will work on a 12-hour rotating shift, ensuring packaging production runs smoothly while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role supports line clearance, housekeeping, and flexible assignments to cover vacancies. Qualified candidates will understand manufacturing specifications, be PC literate, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate and pack out Production Machine(s) of assigned sets and maintain production standards.
• Adhere to Line Clearance Procedures for product changes and maintain housekeeping on machines.
• Fill unforeseen vacancies on shift and work safely and efficiently.
• Perform pallet hauling, packing, rework, and material handling tasks as assigned.

Your opportunity

We’re currently looking for a Mfg. Process Asst. B at our Huhtamaki plant in Waterville, Maine and you should be within reasonable commuting distance from here. You will be working on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.

What You’ll Be Doing

Essential Functions: (But not limited to)

• Ability to pack out Production Machine(s) of assigned sets
• Ability to maintain Production Standards for Broke
• Ability to adhere and understand Line Clearance Procedures for Product changes
• Knowledge of production schedule
• Maintain excellent housekeeping on assigned machines
• May be assigned to fill unforeseen vacancies at any time on their shift
• Work in a safe and efficient manner
• 3 on 3 off schedule, or other shifts as assigned

• Pallet Hauling and LPN Duties
• Cleaning Duties, Dry Ice
• Rework
• Packing Duties
• Offline Wrapper Packing
• Restock Manufacturing Supplies
• Material Handling within the machine room

What you’ll bring to the role

Physical Requirements

• Visual acuity (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect machined parts, product to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Manual dexterity is sufficient to operate machinery for precision work.
• Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping, standing, squatting, bending, crawling, climbing, twisting, and lifting of 50 pounds.
