Job summary

Smith's Food & Drug Centers is seeking team-oriented individuals for entry-level manufacturing roles in Tolleson, AZ. You will participate in training and rotating through core operational functions, building leadership and technical skills while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with a high school diploma or GED, strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and a reliable attendance record.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to learn; Maintain timely arrival and attendance for scheduled shift
  • Make timely progress in completing the training and skill development required to master at least one designated rotational position for the core team's operational function
  • Steadily pursue and master leadership and operational skill development as required to advance to Tech Level 1 performance within the established time frame
  • Demonstrate fundamental knowledge and behavior required for safe execution of operational roles
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of essential information and behavior required to ensure product quality
  • Read equipment-specific standard work before engaging machinery
  • Model role-appropriate leadership behavior in keeping with Kroger Values
  • Exhibit functional understanding of plant strategy, functions and operational objectives
  • Collaborate with training coordinator or resource leader to maintain expected pace of technical and leadership development
  • Complete cross-training as determined by team composition and objectives
  • Show commitment to team goals through cooperative and aligned behavior
  • Communicate with team members to overcome obstacles through collaboration
  • Invite and share ideas and feedback to leverage team strength in solving problems
