Job summary

The Pivot Group Network in Wyoming, MI is building its metrology talent network and seeks experienced Metrology Technicians. You will calibrate tools, verify instruments, perform Gage R&R studies, and help ensure quality across manufacturing.

Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree in Metrology or related field, 2+ years of calibration experience, and the ability to read blueprints and GD&T. Familiarity with CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Metrology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
  • 2+ years of calibration and measurement experience in manufacturing.
  • Ability to read blueprints and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
  • Experience with precision measurement tools (CMM, calipers, micrometers).

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration and verification of measurement tools and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning metrology instruments.
  • Conduct Gage R&R studies and measurement system analyses.
  • Develop and maintain calibration procedures and documentation.
  • Provide technical support and training on metrology principles and equipment.
  • Participate in the selection and implementation of new metrology equipment.
  • Analyze measurement data and identify trends or potential issues.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality requirements.
