Job summary

The Blood Connection, Incorporated is seeking a Metrology Technician to support calibration, validation, and preventive maintenance of regulated equipment across TBC locations. You will perform troubleshooting, maintain records, and ensure equipment readiness per quality system requirements.

Travel within the service area is required, up to 10% overnight, with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and customer service while supporting internal departments with timely equipment service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Technical education or related training preferred.
• Experience in metrology, calibration, equipment maintenance, or related technical field preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work weekends and some overnight travel (10% or less).

Responsibilities

• Performs calibration, quality control, inspection, and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoots and coordinates external repair when needed.
• Evaluates equipment after repair and re-verifies calibration before return to service.
• Travels to centers and labs to service equipment within assigned area.
• Maintains equipment records and uses Equipment Management System.
• Communicates equipment failures and service needs to leadership and departments.
• Operates company vehicle when traveling.
