onsemi is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Metrology Module Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Hopewell Junction, NY. This position will serve as a key technical resource supporting metrology systems and manufacturing operations during evening production hours.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day engineering support for assigned metrology tools and processes during evening manufacturing operations.
- Provide rapid technical responses to process excursions, tool alarms, quality events, and production-impacting issues.
- Mentor/Train technicians and junior engineers in troubleshooting methodologies and best practices.
- Lead structured root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive tool performance, uptime, capability, and productivity improvements.
- Partner with manufacturing supervisors and technicians to maintain stable production operations.
- Utilize statistical methods and data analysis tools to improve process capability and manufacturing consistency.
- Participate in cross-functional improvement projects focused on yield, cycle time, quality, and cost reduction.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, procedures, specifications, and training materials.
- Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
Experience
- 6+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience supporting metrology, process engineering, equipment engineering, yield engineering, or manufacturing engineering functions.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC), data analysis, and structured problem solving.
- Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.

Salary
Salary: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $75,300 to $120,400, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
