ICON Laboratory Services in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Metrology Tech to calibrate and maintain assigned laboratory equipment across the site. You will update calibration schedules and equipment lists as work is performed, monitor critical devices, and act as escort for approved external vendors.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree in science or a high school diploma with 1+ year of lab experience, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in science preferred.
• High school diploma with 1+ year relevant laboratory experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and maintain assigned laboratory equipment in laboratories
• Update the calibration schedule and equipment lists as work is performed
• Monitor equipment (e.g., freezers, refrigerators, pipettes, balances, water system, thermometers, weights, ovens, temperature and humidity monitors, REES Environmental system)
• Act as an escort for the approved vendor performing required external calibration
• Review calibration notebooks per applicable SOPs/procedures

Learn how you can play a key role as a Metrology Tech for ICON Laboratory Services which is dedicated exclusively to the Bioanalytical laboratory and services for pre-clinical trials.

The role:

• Calibrate and maintain assigned laboratory equipment in laboratories
• Update the calibration schedule and equipment lists as work is performed.
• Monitor equipment (e.g., freezers, refrigerators, pipettes, balances, water system, thermometers, weights, ovens, temperature and humidity monitors, REES Environmental system).
• Act as an escort for the approved vendor performing required external calibration
• Review calibration notebooks per applicable SOPs/procedures.

You will need:

• Associate degree, in science is preferred; or high school diploma with a minimum of 1+ year relevant laboratory experience.
• Strong attention to detail in this position.
