Job summary

Phillips-Medisize, a Molex Company, is seeking a Metrologist to join our Hudson, WI team. The role involves organizing First Article layouts, Capability Studies, and GRR/MSA activities to verify tooling and parts meet customer requirements. Travel up to 20% to global sites may be needed.

You will work with engineering and a range of departments to perform statistical studies, color analyses, and certification packages, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality systems.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years or more experience with metrology, statistics and blueprint reading.
• Experience with SPC and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Experience with statistical analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Organize and complete First Article layouts and Capability Studies.
• Maintain scheduling and priority based on site project needs.
• Adhere to laboratory systems, procedures, and policies to meet or exceed customer requirements.
• Participate in Advance Quality Planning, including Gage R&R, FMEAs, and flow diagrams.
• Perform MSA analysis and provide interpretation to engineering.
• Verify compliance to engineering specifications.
• Compile necessary paperwork, SPC charts.
• Provide guidance to measurement personnel.
• Perform color studies, submission packages, geometric design and tolerance.
• Compile necessary paperwork, SPC charts, raw material certs, and paint lab reports to complete certifications sent to the customer.
• Perform raw materials testing, update SPC data, file and update color chips.
• Select, program and operate all measurement systems; able to run all software associated.
• Identify appropriate measurement methods.
• Extended travel to other local and global facilities may be required to support business needs, up to 20%.
• Manage/Execute GRR activity in accordance with System requirements.
• Develop/Mentor Quality Inspectors in Measurement Systems and Techniques.
• Support Engineering in the development of specifications and prints.
• Apply CAD data for concurrent engineering to speed up the FAI process.
