The Meter Reader DOT reports to the Meter Services Supervisor at Bermex. This position plays a key role in reading and inspecting gas, electric, and/or water meters. This position also requires a high degree of walking in outdoor environmental conditions, excellent time management, and exceptional flexibility day to day. This is a DOT regulated position, which may require additional background checks. ***Significant amount of walking(14+ miles/day) is involved. There is also a lot of driving. Good navigation skills, no attendance issues, and self-motivation are required for success. The position is outdoors all year.***
Employees will begin their day at the local office where they will pick up their company vehicle, equipment, and assignments for the day.
