JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY: Under limited supervision creates quality value and confidence in the eyes of our customers by safely and accurately reading electric meters while maintaining production levels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately reads and records electric meter readings within defined performance levels
• Maintains production levels by accessing electricmeters within defined performance levelsComplies with all policies procedures and practicesWorks safely to avoid accidents and injuries and support safety goalsWalks or drives company vehicle over a wider range of established meter reading routesOperates and maintains electronic meter reading devices including peripheral equipmentInspects meters and/or connections for defects damage and unauthorized connections and records/reports irregularitiesVerifies meter readings to identify and locate abnormal consumption and records reasons for fluctuationsThis position requires good physicalityMust have valid NM Driver s License with no pointsWill conduct criminal background employment verification education verification and drug screen
