Job summary

Core4ce is seeking a research-grade postdoctoral candidate to join the CEM Research Group at AFRL, Wright-Patterson AFB, to design, fabricate and characterize metasurfaces and metamaterials. The role focuses on developing new nanofabrication techniques for multilayer metasurfaces and engaging in design/simulation of novel devices.

The position requires a PhD in a related field, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• PhD in physics, optics, materials science & engineering, electrical engineering or closely related field.
• Applicants must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Experience with cleanroom nanofabrication and optical metrology.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate and characterize optical frequency metasurfaces and metamaterials.
• Develop and tailor multilayer metasurface fabrication approaches.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and publish findings in top journals.
