Qualifications

• Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate or non-thesis graduate program.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Interest in metallurgy and materials science.
• Metallography and laboratory experience.
• Experience with computer science, coding languages, SPC, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze mechanical testing and chemical composition data.
• Verify material compliance with customer/major society specifications.
• Assist in metallographic preparation and analysis.
• Organize and maintain technical documentation.
• Support problem-solving efforts throughout steel production processes.
• Communicate effectively with teams across the mill.
• Uphold and promote Nucor's safety standards and practices.
