Job summary

Assistance Technique Internationale in Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated Test Material Processor to prepare test samples and conduct metallurgical tests. You will operate machines to shape and finish specimens, perform etching and inspection, and assist with heat-treat operations.

Aptitude testing is required. Candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED and 1+ years of manufacturing and machining experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Layout and section off test material.
• Turning, facing, form grinding, threading of cylindrical test specimens, polishing of test specimens and redlining of test specimens.
• Turning and facing of etch samples and sawing, shaping, milling and surface grinding of rectangular shaped test specimens.
• Preparation of etched samples.
• Produce test specimens through hot working operation of the Hot Compression Tester and related equipment is performed jointly with the IFPTE techs.
• Store, scrap and dispose of production related test material.
• Store, scrap and dispose of acceptance material.
• Experimental Heat Treat Operations.
• Pick-up and delivery of test material.
