Cindavi in Fontana, CA is seeking a Lab Tech / Metallographer I to perform hands-on metallurgical testing, prepare samples, and generate clear reports to support aluminum-product quality and production decisions. You will move between lab and industrial space, collaborate with QA and production, and use microscopes, spectrometers, Alscan, PodFa, data loggers, and saws to spot deviations and support decisions.

Schedule: Full-time, onsite, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.

Qualificações

• High school diploma plus 6–12 months lab/metallography/quality or metal-industry experience
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and reporting software for English reports
• Familiarity with metallurgical analysis and equipment for aluminum inspection
• Knowledge of ultrasonic testing and AMS-STD-2154, ASTM E112, ASTM E1417
• Ability to use test data to identify defects and recommend actions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in an industrial setting

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, section, machine, polish, etch, and evaluate aluminum samples for metallurgical investigations
• Use microscopes, spectrometers, Alscan, PodFa, data loggers, saws to conduct testing
• Investigate returned material and production defects; prepare customer-ready reports with conclusions and actions
• Conduct equipment accuracy testing and homogenization surveys; prepare reports for production/management
• Support QA projects; maintain lab safety, inventory, and sample storage
