Job summary

Qualifications

• Must pass a medical physical and drug test.
• Must pass a background check.
• Grandfathered employees in place prior to April 2014.
• Bi-lingual English & Spanish a plus.
• Able to communicate effectively; understand directions; use basic math.

Responsibilities

• Operate metal shearing equipment using safe work habits.
• Observe shear operations to detect malfunctions and notify maintenance.
• Load material into chamber for crushing and pushing into cutter.
• Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
• Clean equipment and work area at end of shift; keep areas neat and orderly.
• Regular attendance and punctuality are essential job functions.
• Organize materials to optimize space usage.
• Dispose of waste materials properly.
• Inspect to ensure cleanup is complete.
• Maintain ongoing safety and hygiene in the workplace for all team members.
