Job summary

Snyders Metal Processing in Maryland is seeking a reliable Laborer to support daily operations at our metal recycling facility. This role involves physical tasks such as weighing, unloading, sorting scrap, and following safety protocols to keep the yard organized and shipments on schedule.

You will work on-site in varying weather, lifting up to 100 lbs, operating basic equipment, and collaborating with the team to ensure efficient processing and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift heavy items, up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to stand and work on feet for entire shift.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather.
• Commitment to safety protocols and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with unloading and weighing materials and metal.
• Maintain quality of scrap for shipment.
• Learn to grade metals and sort into categories.
• Operate equipment such as balers, shears, saws, and hand tools.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and wear safety gear.
• Collaborate with team to complete projects efficiently.
