The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of four years in metal grinding, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work overtime as needed. ITAR-compliant facility prerequisites apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in metal grinding or a related manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate a range of grinding and finishing equipment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and English-language instructions.
• Willingness to work overtime and flexibility to adapt to changes in work assignments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed for the role.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident due to ITAR facility requirements.

Responsabilités

• Operate a variety of grinders, oscillators, and hand tools to finish and deburr metal parts.
• Review technical drawings and follow special instructions for finish requirements prior to starting work.
• Inspect parts received from previous operations, ensuring quality before proceeding to the next stage.
• Remove rough edges using files and prepare metal surfaces for subsequent operations.
• Apply designated finishes using grainers and other finishing tools for optimal appearance and function.
• Recognize and report equipment or product issues to the supervisor and assist in troubleshooting to maintain productivity.
• Assist in material handling tasks, including loading carts and moving materials as needed.
• Follow all company policies related to safety, quality, attendance, and conduct to ensure a safe and productive environment.
• Drill, ream, and tap holes in machined parts and sheet metal as required.
