Job summary

Senior Aerospace SSP, a division of Senior plc, is seeking a Metal Fitter for the 2nd shift to set up and fit detailed parts on aircraft and related assemblies. The role requires hand grinding, expanding and hand fitting to blueprint dimensions for welding and tacking.

Responsibilities include aligning details, trimming and finishing parts, setting up jobs in assembly jig, and maintaining safety and quality standards while supporting team goals.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or General Education Degree; or 3-6 months of related and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Assists higher classified workers as required.

• Follow all Senior policies and procedure.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Summary: Set up and fit detailed parts on aircraft, aerospace and similar assemblies. Performs hand grinding, expanding and hand fitting to blueprint dimensions for heliarc tacking, welding and/or resistance welding.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Performs such typical operations as aligning machined details or stampings preparatory to welding operations.


• Trims, scribes, files or grinds parts to templates or scribed lines.


• Sets up single jobs in assembly jig for welding.


• Assists higher classified workers as required.


• Performs rework, repair and other associated operations relating to the work described.


• Maintain minimum output of 65%.

Annual Target Salary = $49,920.00

Monday - Friday 2nd Shift 3:30pm - 12:00am
