Job summary

Senior plc is seeking a Metal Fitter to set up and fit detailed parts on aircraft and aerospace assemblies, performing hand grinding and fitting to blueprint dimensions for welding. Under supervision, you will align machined details, trim, scribes, and file parts to templates, and prepare assembly jigs for welding.

You will also assist senior workers, perform rework, and uphold safety and quality standards while adhering to company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or General Education Degree; or 3-6 months of related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description

Summary:Set up and fit detailed parts on aircraft, aerospace and similar assemblies. Performs hand grinding, expanding and hand fitting to blueprint dimensions for heliarc tacking, welding and/or resistance welding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:

• Performs such typical operations as aligning machined details or stampings preparatory to welding operations.
• Trims, scribes, files or grinds parts to templates or scribed lines.
• Sets up single jobs in assembly jig for welding.
• Assists higher classified workers as required.
• Performs rework, repair and other associated operations relating to the work described.
• Maintain minimum output of 65%.
• Maintain minimum product quality acceptance of 90%.
• Follow all Senior policies and procedure.
• Other duties as assigned.

Annual Target Salary = $49,920.00
